Check out this Atlas Appetizer: A World of Small Bites book by Arthur L. Meyer and Jon Mick Vann. Mick is a good friend of mine and he has included a few of Thai appetizers in this stunning book. This book is a feast for the imagination as well as the palate. Arranged as in an atlas by geographic location, the book reveals the unique culinary character of each country as expressed in its ingredients, produce, common cooking methods, and techniques. Clear, itemized instructions for preparing in advance (such as marinating overnight), assembly method, specialized techniques, as well as food pairings turn the artistry of appetizer creation into practical, easy-to-follow steps. The book won the "Best Foreign Cookery Book in the World" at the 2004 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards

The author David Thomson, spent years in Thailand learning tricks and tips in Thai cooking and enjoying his time in a beautiful country. He also spent years in writing this book. This is by far the best English Thai cookbook I have run into. The book covers most of the dishes that you ever want to cook. Also, there are some ancient recipes that I have no idea what they are but the recipes work really well, although some of the ingredients of some recipes are impossible to get outside of Thailand. It is definitely my Thai food bible. When I run into questions about Thai food, this book will always be the first thing I turn to. Buy this book here
